Akshat’s mother Simmi Jain is also an IRS officer who is currently serving the Indian government for several years.

Currently as an Indian revenue service officer, she is the ADG of National Academy of Customs in Jaipur. During an interview Akshat Jain revealed that his parents are played a significant role in his success and they have constantly inspired him to become the best version of himself. Akshat Jain completed his graduation with a degree in design and a good CGPA. He started preparing for UPSC civil services examination in the third year of his college. Akshat used to study 8 to 10 hours per day with complete concentration and dedication. He secured an excellent rank simply by studying everything all by himself and did not take any coaching for UPSC. 

Akshat Jain IAS Preparation Strategy

According to Akshat it is important to start your UPSC preparation after going through the complete syllabus and making notes on it. He recommends the UPSC aspirants to invest plenty of time to improve the writing and reading skills which they can do by reading their favourite newspapers and books. Instead of studying late at night Akshat recommends the aspirants to study early in the morning and to give mock exams for the subjects.

According to him one of the most important parts about the preparation strategies is that the student should always keep themselves updated with current affairs and general knowledge. He also recommends the students to complete the optional subject at least once before the prelims so that they can be ready for the mains before prelims. Revision of the topics and practicing mock tests is extremely helpful. Akshat says that time management is an extremely important factor that plays a key role in the success of UPSC examination. Last but not the least, candidates should be consistent and it is important for them to remember that dedication and honest efforts definitely pay off in the end.
